With a BA Hons (First class) degree in Contour Fashion, my career path began working in fashion and lingerie design for some of the UK’s biggest high street names.

Since graduating from De Montfort University in 2009, I have built a strong and varied foundation in commercial design. I specialised in trend prediction, creative and technical garment design and print design for ladies nightwear, loungewear, lingerie, essentials and swimwear. Duties and responsibilities included market analysis and trend forecasting, garment and print design of trend led seasonal ranges, working to customer briefs and own trend collections, fabric sourcing and customer presentations. I have also worked on Mens and Kids nightwear and essentials and print design for ladies wear and accessories.

My years in fashion allowed me to travel all over the world, from bases in both the UK and Sri Lanka, with regular travel for buyer visits, factory visits, fabric sourcing, comp shopping and trade show visits to Paris, New York, Ireland, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Barcelona.

Clients have included retail giants such as Matalan, Studio, and Sainsburys; international suppliers including Norlanka Manufacturing, Poeticgem and GWG Sleepwear; specialist brands including Bravissimo and Ballet Lingerie as well as small independent brands including Outside the lines, Cece & Ted and Small & Awesome kids wear.
